3.1.3. Els grups vocàlics

Els grups vocàlics àtons finals –ia, -ie es pronunciaran com a diftongs: història (his-tò-ria), sèrie (sè-rie).

El grup vocàlic ui s’ha de pronunciar com un diftong decreixent: [bújt], circuit [siɾkújt]. Però es pronunciarà com a diftong creixent en casos com hui [wí] i huit [wít] (i els seus derivats), i en el grups güi (pingüí, lingüista) i qüi (aqüífer, terraqüi).
